Schmeichel surpasses father for Premier League penalty saves at Old Trafford

Kasper Schmeichel was brilliant Saturday, doing something his father, Peter Schmeichel, never did during his time at Manchester United.

In the second half of the Premier League game between United and Leicester City, the Red Devils were awarded a penalty kick when a cross from Anthony Martial hit Danny Simpson's hand. It was a harsh decision, but a poor penalty by Romelu Lukaku was saved by Kasper, who dived to his right to push the ball away.

Peter spent eight seasons at United, seven of which were part of the Premier League era.

Unfortunately for Kasper, United opened the scoring 17 minutes later. Marcus Rashford was left unmarked during a corner kick and knocked the ball past the Danish 'keeper.
