Irish musician Imelda May will sing her home country's national anthem to kick off fellow Dubliner Conor McGregor's superfight with Floyd Mayweather in Las Vegas on Saturday, according to Kevin Iole of Yahoo Sports.
The development will mark one of many firsts for McGregor on fight night, as national anthems are usually absent from the proceedings of UFC events, where he walks out to the music of Sinead O'Connor.
Pop star Demi Lovato will sing the American national anthem before McGregor squares off with Mayweather in his professional boxing debut at T-Mobile Arena.
