Watch: Donaldson crushes 11th HR in August

Kim Klement / USA TODAY Sports

It's safe to say Josh Donaldson is feeling pretty good at the plate.

The Toronto Blue Jays slugger tattooed his 11th home run of August in the top of the first inning of Wednesday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays. The two-run blast set the table, and was the first of four long balls to be hit before the end of the second inning.

Entering August, Donaldson had totaled only 11 dingers over the course of the entire season. Finally healthy, he's doubled his homer total in a mere 20 games. He also passed Kendrys Morales for second on the team, and sits behind only Justin Smoak, who has 33 bombs in 2017.

The 'Bringer of Rain' leads the American League in August home runs, and trails only Miami Marlins behemoth Giancarlo Stanton for the MLB lead in the month.
