Texas' Andrew Beck out for season with fractured foot

Texas announced that senior Andrew Beck will undergo surgery this week on a fractured foot and will be out for the entire 2017 season, per Jason Suchomel of Orangebloods.com.

Beck was expected to play a much larger role this season in Tom Herman's offense than he did under the Charlie Strong administration in previous years.

In his last two seasons, the Tampa native caught 12 passes for 159 yards and two touchdowns.

The Longhorns open the season Sept. 2 against Maryland.
