It appears Jeff Banister has a way with more than just his players.
The Texas Rangers manager showed he's some kind of bird whisperer Monday when he helped an injured pigeon off the field while his team took on the Los Angeles Angels.
"It seemed like there were a few guys out there afraid to pick the pigeon up," Banister told Jeff Wilson of the Star-Telegram. "But I will tell everybody that the pigeon was safe. We handed it off, and they took it outside and set it free."
