Floyd Mayweather kept his word.

Moments after dispatching Conor McGregor by 10th-round TKO in Las Vegas on Saturday, the 40-year-old boxer announced the fight that saw him improve to 50-0 would be the last of his illustrious career.

"Money" ended a retirement dating back to September 2015 to meet McGregor at T-Mobile Arena, but revealed he'd be hanging up his gloves once again after the blockbuster bout in the weeks leading up to it. Often compared to heavyweight Rocky Marciano for their impeccable 49-0 records, Mayweather now rides off into the sunset having one-upped his fellow luminary.

In addition to capturing 15 world titles across five different weight classes, Mayweather cemented himself as arguably the greatest defensive tactician and draw in the history of combat sports, with Saturday's bout expected to shatter the record buyrate of 4.6 million pay-per-views he and Manny Pacquiao set in their 2015 superfight.

The Michigan native calls it a career with an Olympic bronze medal and wins over the likes of Oscar De La Hoya, Miguel Cotto, and Juan Manuel Marquez to his name.
