Dortmund: Barcelona target Dembele can leave if 'demands are met'

The Ousmane Dembele transfer saga has its latest chapter, with Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc admitting Saturday that the player can leave for the right price.

Not in the squad for Saturday's trip to Wolfsburg after being slapped with a club-imposed ban for skipping training, Dembele has been pegged by the Catalan giant as a replacement for Neymar.

Now, it appears as if a move to La Liga is in the cards after Zorc told Sky Sports, "We have a clear stance on this. If our demands are met, he will leave this summer, otherwise he'll remain at BVB."

Zorc's remarks come days after Barcelona general manager Pep Segura revealed the club is "close" to completing deals for Dembele and Liverpool wantaway Philippe Coutinho.

"We have to help the team. We're close (to Coutinho and Dembele), we're talking about the conditions but until everything is finalised, we can't say anything else. We hope they will wear a Barca shirt," Segura offered.

It's unclear what Dortmund expects in return for the 20-year-old winger, though the club has publicly rejected an offer thought to be in the neighbourhood of €100 million amid speculation the Bundesliga behemoth's valuation of the Rennes academy product totals €150 million. Not too shabby for a player that Dortmund pried from the Bretons for €15 million last summer.
