Watch: Granderson thanks Mets fans after Dodgers trade

Lance Iversen / USA TODAY Sports

Curtis Granderson wasn't leaving Queens without saying goodbye.

After learning of the news that the New York Mets had traded the outfield veteran to the Los Angeles Dodgers, Granderson thanked his now-former team's fans for the postseason memories of the past four seasons. He also threw in a shoutout to "The 7 Line Army," the dedicated group of Mets fans that sit next to Citi Field's "Big Apple" and also follow the team on the road.

Granderson later took to Twitter to show his appreciation for New York City where he's plied his trade for the last eight seasons, including four years with the crosstown Yankees.
