The Orlando Magic are nearing an agreement with free-agent power forward Adreian Payne on a one-year, two-way contract, Darren Wolfson of 1500ESPN.com reports.

Payne recently declined a $900,000 offer from the Guangdong Southern Tigers of the Chinese Basketball Association, according to international reporter David Pick.

The 26-year-old spent this past season with the Minnesota Timberwolves, averaging 3.5 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 0.4 blocks on 42.6 percent shooting.

The former first-rounder will compete with Aaron Gordon, Jonathan Isaac, and Marreese Speights for minutes at power forward.
