The Dallas Mavericks have agreed to a one-year deal with free center Jeff Withey, league sources told The Vertical's Shams Charania.

The 27-year-old appeared in 51 games for the Utah Jazz this past season, averaging 2.9 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 0.6 blocks on 53.4 percent shooting.

Dallas is in need of frontcourt depth, with last year's starting center Nerlens Noel still a restricted free agent.

Chosen with the 39th pick in the 2013 Draft, Withey has struggled to hold down a consistent role throughout his NBA career, averaging 10.3 minutes per game over four seasons.
