Joe Maddon just blew a gasket.

In the bottom of the ninth inning in a 6-6 game against the Cincinnati Reds, the Chicago Cubs manager took exception to a call made by the umpiring crew.

With runners on first and second base, Ben Zobrist squared around to bunt and was struck on the leg with the next pitch. The umpires determined that he didn't pull back his bat, and therefore it was called a strike.

Well, Maddon really didn't like that. The often mild-mannered manager had many choice words for the umps, and was ejected almost immediately. The incident could lead to league action as he made physical contact with two of the umpires.

He joined Mike Matheny, John Gibbons, and Scott Servais as managers who were tossed from their respective games on Wednesday.

The Cubs managed to scrape across a run later in the inning to win the game 7-6.
