Report: Tottenham targeting Ajax's Davinson Sanchez
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly identified Ajax defender Davinson Sanchez as one of his top transfer targets.
Outside of offloading Kyle Walker to Manchester City for more than £50 million, the north London side has been relatively quiet this summer.
But Pochettino appears eager to add to his squad as he looks to possibly spend a club-record fee for the 21-year-old centre-back, according to Simon Stone of the BBC.
It's believed that Ajax is only willing to part ways with Sanchez if Tottenham offers a sum worth more than £30 million.
Tottenham surpassed its previous transfer record in 2016 when Moussa Sissoko arrived at White Hart Lane from Newcastle in a deal that was reportedly worth £31.5 million.
Along with featuring in the Europa League final against Manchester United last term, Sanchez, who arrived at Ajax last summer for £3.8 million, scored six goals during 32 Eredivisie appearances during the 2016-17 campaign.
