St. Louis rescue organization believes it found 'Rally Cat'

Don't hold your breath just yet, but the elusive "Rally Cat" may have been found.

The famous feline became the talk of the baseball world Wednesday when it invaded the field during a game between the St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Royals, and Yadier Molina coincidentally blasted a grand slam in the next pitch, instantly putting the cat into Cardinals lore.

Unfortunately, a fan who later claimed "Rally Cat" was hers, lost it in a park near the stadium, and the team issued a press release hoping to retrieve the missing animal.

Thanks to the St. Louis Feral Cat Outreach, that may now be possible:

Savannah Wrigley, a board member of the organization, explained they are optimistic the capture is the legendary cat itself due to some notable resemblances.

"Rally Cat has a very distinctive marking on his shoulder, like a constellation of white dots, and also the fact that he was found where the woman dropped him," she told St. Louis' KMOX radio Friday.
