The Atlanta Hawks have agreed to a one-year deal with unrestricted free agent Luke Babbitt, league sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Babbitt will earn the veteran's minimum, Jeff Zillgitt of USA TODAY reports.

Playing a key role for the Miami Heat last season, Babbitt averaged 4.8 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 0.5 assists, while shooting an impressive 41.4 percent from beyond the arc.

While far from a complete offensive player, the seven-year veteran ranks as one of the NBA's top 3-point threats and should be a welcome addition on a Hawks team desperate for scoring.

With last year's starting power forward - Paul Millsap - now in Denver, Babbitt could see plenty of minutes in Atlanta's frontcourt.
