Moments after regaining his UFC light heavyweight title, Jon Jones expressed a desire to fight Brock Lesnar.

Though it may be the fight he wants next, Jones conceded Monday on "Good Morning America" that he may not get his wish.

"I don't know," Jones responded when asked who his next opponent will be. "I think it may be a while before Brock Lesnar's eligible to fight. Right now, I'm just kind of waiting to hear from the UFC on some different ideas outside of him."

Lesnar, a former UFC heavyweight champion, drew a one-year suspension after failing two tests ahead of a fight at UFC 200. He still has six months to serve before he can return to the Octagon, and is currently property of the WWE.

With Lesnar out of the immediate picture, it appears the door is wide open for a challenger to emerge for Jones' championship.

Current No. 2 light heavyweight Alexander Gustafsson has made public his desire to fight Jones again and Volkan Oezdemir, who is quickly flying up the weight-class rankings, has offered to fight Gustafsson to determine the No. 1 contender.
