UFC champ Miocic calls out boxing champ Joshua after Klitschko retires

Stipe Miocic could be looking to follow in the footsteps of fellow UFC champion Conor McGregor by entering the world of boxing.

Thursday, after Wladimir Klitschko announced his retirement from boxing, UFC heavyweight champion Miocic offered his congratulations and then wasted little time before challenging Anthony Joshua - who was set to be Klitschko's next opponent - to a fight.

Klitschko was beaten by Joshua in April via 11th-round stoppage. Any hope of a rematch ended with the 41-year-old Klitschko's retirement.

This isn't the first time Miocic has called out Joshua. In June, Miocic questioned Joshua's credentials to be considered the baddest man on the planet after the latter suggested he didn't know who Miocic is:
