Texas Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre is one hit away.

Beltre picked up career hit No. 2,999 with a single to lead off the fourth inning of Saturday's game against the Baltimore Orioles.

The four-time All-Star would be the 31st player in MLB history to reach the 3,000-hit club and first since Ichiro Suzuki did so in August of 2016.

Beltre, who would also be the first player born in the Dominican Republic to reach 3,000 hits, finished the game 1-for-4.
