Report: Astros 'most focused' suitor for Tigers' Justin Wilson

The Houston Astros, after declaring they won't overpay for a starter, appear to have shifted their concentration to available relievers.

The club reportedly may be "the most focused" of the teams pursuing Detroit Tigers left-hander Justin Wilson, according to ESPN's Jerry Crasnick.

The Tigers southpaw has apparently moved ahead of Baltimore Orioles reliever Zach Britton - who has been linked to the Astros in recent days - on the club's list of targets as Houston searches for bullpen upgrades.

Wilson's reportedly generated interest from an abundance of teams as of late, including the Milwaukee Brewers, Boston Red Sox, Washington Nationals, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Tampa Bay Rays.

His popularity isn't surprising considering the season he's having. In 45 games, the left-hander has pitched to a 2.75 ERA and 0.94 WHIP, with 55 strikeouts. Wilson's also served as the Tigers' closer, converting 12 saves following the release of Francisco Rodriguez.
