Watch: Red Sox rookie Devers crushes HR for 1st MLB hit

Joe Nicholson / USA TODAY Sports

The Boston Red Sox may have found their third baseman.

In just his second game in the majors, rookie Rafael Devers crushed a 427-foot solo home run off Seattle Mariners right-hander Andrew Moore for his first big-league hit Wednesday at Safeco Field.

The 20-year-old is the youngest Red Sox player to homer since 1965, and the first Red Sox player to homer for their first career hit since Daniel Nava in 2010.

Devers was called up from Triple-A on Sunday and went 0-for-4 with two walks in his debut Tuesday.
