Watch: Bellinger crushes Twins with mammoth go-ahead blast in 8th

Once again, the Los Angeles Dodgers were saved by Cody Bellinger.

The 22-year-old rookie continued his remarkable rise to stardom by putting the majors' best team on his back when it mattered most Monday night. With the Dodgers down 4-3 and facing Minnesota Twins reliever Taylor Rogers in the eighth, Bellinger destroyed any hope of a miracle for the Minneapolis side by launching a go-ahead three-run bomb to straightaway center field, giving the Dodgers a 6-4 lead and sending Chavez Ravine into a frenzy.

Bellinger received a curtain call for his efforts, and Kenley Jansen shut down Minnesota in the ninth to give the Dodgers their MLB-best 69th victory.

For Bellinger, it was his 28th home run of the season, moving him four back of Giancarlo Stanton for the National League lead. Even more incredibly, it was his 15th homer hit in the seventh inning or later this year.

According to Dodgers Insider, Monday's win was the Dodgers' 26th comeback victory this season.
