Watch: Padres' Renfroe reaches Western Metal building roof for 2nd time

Jake Roth / USA TODAY Sports

Hunter Renfroe roofed it.

For the second time in less than a year, the young San Diego Padres slugger sent a pitch to the furthest possible part of Petco: on top of the Western Metal Supply Co. building in the left-field corner. Renfroe's blast off Mets right-hander Jacob deGrom traveled 462 feet with an exit velocity of 110 mph and an apex of 105 feet, becoming the longest Padres' home run hit this season.

Since Petco opened in 2004, only two home runs hit during games have reached the Western Metal building's rooftop patio - and both of them have come off the bat of Renfroe. In fact, before he hit his first rooftop shot last September, the target had only been reached by a select few during some scant rounds of batting practice, and again at last summer's Home Run Derby.
