The Sacramento Kings appear to have no plans to move their point guard of the future.

Despite recent speculation that the Kings would surrender De'Aaron Fox in a potential trade for Kyrie Irving, Sacramento has no interest in moving the No. 5 overall pick, league sources tell James Ham of CSN California.

Reports surfaced last week suggesting Irving had asked to be traded from Cleveland, with the San Antonio Spurs, Miami Heat, New York Knicks, and Minnesota Timberwolves among his preferred destinations.

Fox is coming off a terrific freshman campaign with Kentucky, averaging 16.7 points, 4.6 assists, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.5 steals on 47.8 percent shooting.

The Kings have focused their efforts on surrounding their young core with veteran leadership this offseason, inking George Hill, Zach Randolph, and Vince Carter to deals.
