Silver: Lonzo's on-court play could overshadow LaVar's talk

NBA commissioner Adam Silver knows Lonzo Ball's game on the court is what ultimately will set the 2017 No. 2 overall pick apart - not the outspoken family patriarch.

Silver graciously gave his time to TMZ when it asked whether or not the Ball family drama was good for the league.

"Ultimately it's going to be how much game he has, but it's been exciting," Silver said of the Los Angeles Lakers' draft pick. "He was our MVP at the summer league and that was based on what he did on the floor, not anything he said off the court."

In unrelated tidbits, the progressive commissioner was also asked if he's watching Ice Cube's BIG3 3-on-3 league, to which Silver replied he thinks it's great basketball.

Queried whether or not the play would ever see NBA time, he suggested with the addition of 3-on-3 to the Olympics and the league's involvement with Olympic play, that the style is very encouraged.
