Spieth bounces back from disaster with insane birdie, eagle

Jordan Spieth proved why he's one of the most mentally tough golfers Sunday at The Open.

Spieth hit a terrible drive at Royal Birkdale's par-4 13th en route to a wild bogey, dropping him out of the lead for the first time all week.

The 23-year-old didn't dwell on the rough hole, and battled back on the par-3 14th, nearly jarring his tee shot for a hole-in-one.

After holing the putt for birdie at No. 14, Spieth threw an uppercut punch at Matt Kuchar on the par-5 15th, dropping a 48-foot bomb for eagle.

The highlight was what came after the long eagle putt, when Spieth looked to his caddie, Michael Greller, and told him to "go get that" ball out of the hole.

What a turnaround.
