Twitter goes crazy over Spieth's absurd situation on No. 13

To those who claim golf lacks drama, we give you Jordan Spieth's adventures on the 13th hole at Royal Birkdale on Sunday.

The 23-year-old came to the tee tied for the lead with Matt Kuchar and promptly hit his drive miles to the right, into the thick rough and dunes.

He would then take over 20 minutes to decide what to do, eventually taking an unplayable lie and dropping in the practice range.

The entire situation made for riveting television, and sent Twitter into hysterics.

Spieth's good friend Justin Thomas supplied a pep talk of sorts on Twitter, urging his pal to somehow salvage a bogey.

It appears Spieth heeded Thomas' words, as he miraculously made bogey on the hole.
