The annual tradition of Mark Richt's backflip off a high dive continued on Friday night, as the Miami head coach stuck this year's version perfectly.

Richt began the practice during his highly-successful 15-year run at Georgia, and brought it to Miami when he took the position prior to last season.

The 57-year-old learned the move during his days as a student at Miami in the late 1970s from a fairly accomplished teacher, Olympic gold medalist Greg Louganis.

"We would watch him," Richt told Campus Insiders last year. "You'd go to the pool, because that's where the girls were, right? So we'd watch the divers work out and say, that guy's pretty good. Turns out he was the best in the world, like, ever."
