Report: Braves talking to other teams about Garcia; Twins deal not complete

Dale Zanine / USA TODAY Sports

Jaime Garcia isn't a member of the Minnesota Twins just yet.

Although it was reported Thursday night that the Twins were finalizing a deal with the Atlanta Braves to acquire the left-hander, a trade reportedly hasn't been completed and Atlanta is still having talks about Garcia with other teams, a source told Mark Feinsand of MLB.com on Friday.

It's not clear what other teams may be interested in Garcia.

The Twins and Braves appear to be haggling over the players involved in the trade, as well as the potential exchange of cash, reports MLB.com's Mark Bowman. Garcia is owed approximately $5 million over the balance of this season.

Garcia, who will be a free agent at season's end, owns a 4.33 ERA and 1.33 WHIP in 17 starts for the Braves this season.

He remains the Braves' scheduled starter for Friday's game in Los Angeles.
