Dodgers win 10th straight, continue historic streak

Erich Schlegel / USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Dodgers notched yet another 10-game winning streak with a 1-0 victory over the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday, extending a historic 34-game stretch in which the team has lost just four games.

They're the first National League club to go 30-4 over any stretch since the 1936 New York Giants.

The streak, which dates back to June 7, includes single-game losses to the Cleveland Indians and San Diego Padres, while they also dropped a pair to the Los Angeles Angels.

The Dodgers are also just the fourth team since 2000 to have multiple double-digit win streaks, a feat previously accomplished by the 2015 Toronto Blue Jays, 2013 Atlanta Braves, and 2001 St. Louis Cardinals. Interestingly, none of those teams won the World Series.

Los Angeles has outscored its opponents 193-102 over the 34-game span, extending its lead over the NL West by 10 1/2 games.

Heading to the bump to clinch the 10-game win streak was none other than ace lefty Clayton Kershaw, who improved to 15-2 on the season. Tuesday marked Kershaw's eighth consecutive win. It's been 15 games since he was charged with a loss, as he's compiled 11 wins and three no decisions since May 1.
