Watch: Holland makes behind-the-back grab, tosses glove to 1st

It was a 2-for-1 defensive special from Chicago White Sox left-hander Derek Holland on Sunday.

In the fourth inning, Holland made a sweet behind-the-back grab on a ground ball up the middle to steal a potential base hit from Seattle Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano. And after the hard hit ball got stuck in his glove, the pitcher raced towards first base before tossing his mitt to Jose Abreu to record the out.

Holland admitted after the game he once saw fellow pitcher Jon Lester pull off the same kind of play, which was his inspiration for making the creative out.
