Watch: McGregor raps Notorious B.I.G. lines to open Brooklyn show

In the home of Biggie Smalls, Conor McGregor couldn't help but pay homage to the legend.

The UFC lightweight champion dropped a few lines from The Notorious B.I.G. classic "Going Back to Cali" to start his promo portion of the latest leg of the McGregor-Mayweather tour, which landed in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Thursday.

While the choice may seem odd given that he and Mayweather visited Los Angeles two days ago, it had more to do with a few specific words than the overall theme of the song:

It's the, N-O, T-O, R-I, O

U-S, you just, lay down, slow

Recognize a real Don when you see one

McGregor then cut the line short to pose and bask in the reaction from the crowd.
