The Golden State Warriors hope rookie forward Jordan Bell can become the second coming of Draymond Green - and apparently, so does Bell.

The early returns on the No. 38 pick are promising. Bell stuffed the stat sheet Tuesday with five points, five assists, five steals, six blocks, and 11 rebounds in 32 minutes of summer-league action against the Minnesota Timberwolves. He was also somehow a plus-27 in a two-point overtime loss.

Bell credited the ultra rare five-by-five performance to Green, whom he models his game after.

Golden State paid $3.5 million to buy a second-round pick from the Chicago Bulls for the opportunity to draft Bell. The power forward from Oregon was a brilliant, versatile, and tenacious defender at the collegiate level.

The Warriors saw Bell's instincts and athleticism as a perfect fit in their defense in the same role as Green. To further that development, the Warriors put Bell's locker right beside Green's, and the Defensive Player of the Year will serve as Bell's veteran for the upcoming season.
