Jones: 'I'm already the greatest fighter of all time'
While Daniel Cormier may feel he needs to beat Jon Jones to cement his legacy, "Bones" is confident that his place in history is already carved out.
With 22 wins on his record and his only loss coming by disqualification, Jones feels he's done enough to earn the title of GOAT.
"I believe that I'm already the greatest fighter of all time," Jones told Fox Sports 1's "Undisputed" on Monday. "My record speaks for itself. I've beaten six Hall of Famers already and my resume is (incomparable) to anybody in our sport."
Jones admits that his rematch with Cormier will be a part of his legacy, but implied the current light heavyweight champ is just another box to check on the resume.
"This fight is huge for my legacy. Every fight is huge for my legacy," said Jones. "Every fight is extremely important and I try not to look at one fight as more important than another one.
"Its just another match and you just have to focus on what you can do in the ring - well, in training - to prepare for that match. And I try not to make things bigger than what it is."
Jones will face Cormier in the main event of UFC 214 in Anaheim on Saturday.
