Report: Jeff Green, Cavaliers reach 1-year, $2.3M agreement

Kim Klement / USA TODAY Sports

The Cleveland Cavaliers and forward Jeff Green have reached a one-year, $2.3-million deal, per ESPN's Brian Windhorst.

Green has played nine seasons in the NBA, averaging 13.5 points and 4.7 rebounds over 705 games. Last season, he spent time with the Orlando Magic, averaging 9.2 points and 3.1 boards in 22 minutes per game.

For the Cavs, Green is effectively another veteran forward attainable at a minimal price. Somewhat handcuffed by its salary situation, Cleveland continues to plug roster holes in a financially conscious manner.
