Report: Chadli left off West Brom tour after bust-up with Pulis
Nacer Chadli, reportedly the most expensive player in West Bromwich Albion's history, will miss the club's pre-season tour of Austria following a confrontation with manager Tony Pulis, according to The Telegraph's John Percy.
Although it's understood the row ended amicably, Chadli's apparent reluctance to participate in Pulis' notorious fitness routines in preparation for the new campaign - which involve 5 a.m. starts and runs through the Austrian hills - didn't sit well with the tracksuit-donning Welshman.
It's understood Chadli is doing his own work-outs at home with the club's approval, making it unlikely that he'll feature in the Baggies' first summer friendly against Slavia Prague next Wednesday. He's expected to travel to Hong Kong for the meetings with Liverpool, Leicester City, and Crystal Palace which begin the following week.
Chadli cost West Brom around £13 million to take him from Tottenham Hotspur last summer, and is said to want to stay in the West Midlands, despite the discord with Pulis. He's insisted he'll be fit for the upcoming term and will no doubt be under close examination when he meets up with the squad after the Austrian jaunt.
The 27-year-old made 31 Premier League appearances last season, tallying five goals and five assists.
