Texas has a new beer of choice.

The Longhorns agreed to a partnership with Corona as an official sponsor, per release.

"There really isn't anything more emblematic of the state of Texas than the storied history of the four-time football national champion Texas Longhorns," said John Alvarado, vice president of marketing for Corona Extra. "Corona is honored to be a part of the legendary Longhorns lore, and we're excited to raise our Coronas and Hook 'em Horns this season as part of a statewide platform."

Corona will also be using the slogan, "Horns up, Limes In!" as part of the marketing campaign and the agreement will run for five years, according to Bill King of Sports Business Daily.

"Texas is proud to join with the Corona Extra team to promote the excitement and pageantry of collegiate sports," Texas athletics director Mike Perrin said.

The Longhorns began selling beer at home games in 2015 and fans will get their first taste of Corona Royal-Memorial Stadium when Texas hosts Maryland on Sept. 2.
