Sagan disqualified from Tour de France after causing nasty crash
Peter Sagan's Tour de France is over.
The 27-year-old Slovakian was disqualified from the remainder of this year's race after causing a nasty Stage 4 spill Tuesday, the Tour announced.
Sagan forced Mark Cavendish into a barrier on the final straight, using his elbow to make sure Cavendish couldn't pass:

Sagan was the reigning spring champion, and his actions sent Cavendish to local hospital.
"I'm not a fan of (Sagan) putting his elbow into me like that," Cavendish, a 32-year-old British cyclist, said, according to the Daily Mail. "Injury-wise, I'm going to go and get it checked out. I definitely need stitches in (my) finger, it's bleeding a lot."
Cavendish may have suffered a broken shoulder, but his condition and status for the remainder of the race have yet to be disclosed.
Sagan apologized to Cavendish after the race, and that'll be the last thing he does at this year's Tour.
