Tiger Woods announces completion of treatment program

Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

Tiger Woods completed a program he entered to receive professional help in managing his medications following a DUI arrest in May.

He shared the update via his Twitter account:

Woods was taken into custody on May 29 after being found asleep behind the wheel of his car on the side of a Florida road. In a statement released following the arrest, he said he had suffered an "unexpected reaction to prescribed medications."

His agent later added Tiger was seeking help dealing with prescription medication for pain and a sleep disorder.

A few days prior to the arrest, Woods said he felt better than he had in years, and was hoping to return to professional golf.
