LeBron blasts salary cap: 'Steph should be getting 400M'

Despite Stephen Curry signing the biggest contract in NBA history, LeBron James feels the Golden State Warriors star is underpaid.

In response to a tweet noting how Curry's presence has helped boost the net worth of the Warriors franchise immensely since 2010, James questioned why the league has a cap that prevents elite talent from earning salaries that match the value they bring to their respective teams.

In fairness, the new collective bargaining agreement as it pertains to the cap and salaries was negotiated by the National Basketball Players Association, of which James is a first vice president.

The four-time Most Valuable Player will earn $33.2 million next season, and can opt out that summer to cash in himself. Up until the 2016-17 campaign, James was never the highest-paid player in the Association, despite the fact that he's been universally revered as the best in the world for a very long time.
