The Los Angeles Lakers are apparently in the market for some veterans.

Los Angeles contacted free-agent guard Rajon Rondo and forward Andre Iguodala shortly after free agency began Saturday, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Iguodala is taking meetings with nearly a third of the league before making a decision on whether he will return to the Golden State Warriors. Signing with a lottery-bound team like the Lakers would likely require a huge overpay.

Rondo should be much more attainable, but the Lakers might disrupt the development of No. 2 pick Lonzo Ball if they add a veteran guard to compete over minutes. Rondo has also butted heads with teammates and coaches in his recent stops in Dallas, Sacramento, and Chicago.

Iguodala averaged 7.6 points, four rebounds, and 3.4 assists while shooting 52.8 percent from the field for the Warriors last season. Rondo, meanwhile, posted 7.8 points, 5.1 boards, and 6.7 dimes for the Bulls.
