David Lingmerth had no blemishes on his scorecard Friday, shooting another 5-under-par 65 to maintain his lead in the Quicken Loans National.
Lingmerth needed just 26 putts Friday on the tricky TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm greens, and sits at 10-under par at the midway point of the tournament.
"Bogey-free rounds are pretty hard to coming by here," the Swede told the Golf Channel after his round. "So, I'm very pleased with the way I played today."
Geoff Ogilvy trails Lingmerth by two shots heading into the weekend, thanks to a second-round 65, while Daniel Summerhays sits in third place at 6-under par.
Arjun Atwal and Sung Kang are tied in fourth position at 5-under par.
