Kevin Durant plans to let the Golden State Warriors tie up their other loose ends in free agency before formally re-signing with the team in late July, sources told ESPN's Marc Stein.
There is little doubt Durant will return to Golden State, where he won his first NBA championship this month. However, the Warriors first must lock-up two-time league MVP Stephen Curry on the five-year "super-max" contract he's eligible for, and also address the free agency of Andre Iguodala and Shaun Livingston.
Previous reports indicated that Durant is willing to take a sub-max deal so the Warriors can re-sign Iguodala, who is expected to court interest from several other clubs.
