De La Hoya offers White front-row tickets to Canelo-GGG
Oscar De La Hoya is trying to make nice with Dana White ahead of the year's two biggest boxing matches.
The promoters have butted heads over White and the UFC booking their fighter to go one-on-one with Floyd Mayweather on Aug. 26, just three weeks before De La Hoya's golden goose Canelo Alvarez meets Gennady Golovkin in a hotly anticipated middleweight title fight.
It began when De La Hoya was critical of White arranging a match between an MMA fighter and Mayweather - arguably the best boxer in history - before White responded in kind with a profanity-laced rant in which he referred to De La Hoya as "two-faced."
TMZ Sports recently caught up with the Golden Boy Promotions boss, and after taking another jab at the timing of the Mayweather-McGregor bout, De La Hoya dismissed any further tension between himself and White.
"Yes, yes, I love Dana," De La Hoya said. He then added that White is more than welcome to show up to the Canelo-Golovkin fight, and that arrangements have already been made for premium seats.
"I have his tickets. Front row and center."
