No professional athlete has gone through a harder fall from grace than former world No.1 golfer Tiger Woods.

Following his DUI last month, many PGA experts and former players have cast further doubt on Tiger's ability to regain his previous form, let alone return to professional golf at all.

On Monday, it was the Golden Bear's turn.

"He'll have a very hard time," Nicklaus said of Tiger's potential return to the links, according to ESPN. "I don't know whether Tiger will play much golf anymore."

Nicklaus added: "Whether he plays golf or not, I think he's got an awful lot to offer the youth of the country and the game itself.

"Tiger's a good kid, he cares about people, and we'll just see what happens."

Woods currently sits second on the all-time majors list with 14 wins, four back of Jack.
