Justin Watkins has once again decommitted from a school during his recruitment, as the highly-touted athlete backed off his pledge to Texas over the weekend.

"I am opening up my recruitment and I'll be making my decision on signing day," Watkins wrote on Twitter. "I am blessed to play this game and thank God for the opportunity. Events that have occurred in my life have led me to this decision that I've made with my family and coach. Best of luck to Texas and God bless."

Watkins originally committed to Florida State but decided to flip to Texas in February. The Florida native was the top-ranked member of Tom Herman's 2018 class with the Longhorns, as ESPN lists him as the second-best athlete and 16th-best overall prospect in the country.

Watkins holds offers from a number of top programs including Alabama, Clemson, Florida, LSU, Miami, and Georgia.
