Yankees' Hicks expected to miss 3-4 weeks with oblique injury

The struggling New York Yankees will be without one of their most productive hitters for the next little while.

Aaron Hicks, who left Sunday's game with an oblique injury, said he's heading to the disabled list and was told it will keep him sidelined for approximately three-to-four weeks, according to Bryan Hoch of MLB.com.

"It's very frustrating," Hicks said. "I want to be out there battling with my team, and now I can't do it."

Along with fellow outfielders Aaron Judge and Brett Gardner, Hicks has provided the Yankees with terrific production in place of the injured Jacoby Ellsbury.

In 60 games this year, Hicks has slashed .290/.398/.515 with 10 home runs, seven stolen, bases and 37 RBIs. He's also already provided the Yankees with 2.7 WAR after accumulating just 2.2 WAR across his first four major-league seasons.
