The transfer saga of Corey Sutton finally ended Friday with the former Kansas State receiver's announcement that he's joining Appalachian State.

Sutton announced his intention to transfer in late May, but Wildcats head coach Bill Snyder denied his release. A very public spat followed, and Snyder initially dug in and stood his ground on the decision.

Following public backlash, Snyder relented two days later and allowed Sutton to obtain his full release from the program. The decision to join Appalachian State comes a couple of weeks after Snyder's reversal.

Sutton caught just four balls in limited playing time last season and will be forced to sit out the 2017 campaign as per NCAA transfer regulations.
