Report: Warriors sign Chris Boucher to two-way contract

The Golden State Warriors signed Oregon center Chris Boucher to a two-way contract after he went undrafted, sources told Shams Charania of The Vertical.

This is the first two-way deal to be consummated after the new contractual stipulation was made possible in the new collective bargaining agreement. Boucher will be paid a veteran's minimum contract if he gets called up, but will otherwise earn $75,000 in the G-League.

The two-way deal will see his rights held by the Warriors without him taking up a spot on the 15-man roster, thereby freeing him up to be stashed for development without a cost to the big club.

Boucher profiles as a stretch-five that needs to add bulk, since he only weighs 200 pounds despite standing at 6-foot-10. He was stellar in two seasons at Oregon, averaging 12 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 2.7 blocks in 24.8 minutes per game while connecting on 34.4 percent from deep.

The Warriors also added Boucher's teammate, Jordan Bell, with the No. 38 pick.
