Isaiah Thomas, Blake Griffin fuel rumors by following each other on Instagram
Isaiah Thomas continues to send fans of his Boston Celtics into a frenzy with his social-media activity.
Mere days after following Utah Jazz small forward Gordon Hayward on Instagram, IT did the same thing with another Western Conference All-Star who's about to hit free agency: Los Angeles Clippers power forward Blake Griffin.

Like Hayward, Griffin has been linked to the asset-laden Celtics for some time in trade and now free-agency rumors. The Clippers big man fed into the hype recently by naming Boston as one of his favorite NBA cities.

The five-time All-Star can terminate his contract, which has $21.4 million for next season remaining, to become an unrestricted free agent. He averaged 21.5 points, 9.4 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and one steal over seven seasons in Lob City.
Griffin could be the "great" player Celtics general manager Danny Ainge hopes to acquire to put the team over the top. Boston finished atop the East in 2016-17, but fell in the conference finals to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
