Report: Ray Lewis joining FOX Sports as NFL analyst

Ray Lewis is getting a second opportunity to kick-start a career in broadcasting.

The former Baltimore Ravens linebacker, who previously spent three years at ESPN, will join FOX Sports as an NFL analyst, sources told Michael McCarthy of The Sporting News.

In addition to NFL-related work on the main network, Lewis is reportedly expected to be featured on several marquee FS1 shows as part of his deal. That list includes "Undisputed," "The Herd with Colin Cowherd," and "Speak for Yourself."

Lewis, one of the best defensive players of his generation and a surefire Hall of Famer, was a major addition for ESPN's top NFL shows following his 2013 retirement.

That stint would be short-lived, though, as he was among those replaced by the likes of Randy Moss, Charles Woodson, and Matt Hasselbeck ahead of the 2016 season.

Lewis played his entire 17-year career in Baltimore after being selected in the first round of the 1996 draft, earning 13 Pro Bowl appearances, two Defensive Player of the Year awards, and helping the Ravens to a pair of Super Bowl titles.
