Lack wound up on the list of players available to the Golden Knights for the expansion draft, theScore reports.
It's clear that Lack has worn out his welcome in Raleigh. The lanky netminder was initially expected to be the successor to Cam Ward -- who's also been left off the protected list -- but Lack's role has diminished due to his unacceptable peripherals. The Swedish puck plugger began his NHL career with Vancouver and posted save percentages of .912 and .921, respectively, through his first two campaigns, but he's barely hovered over the .900 mark since joining the 'Canes ahead of the 2015-16 season. Making matters worse, the 29-year-old was publicly called out by coach Bill Peters for poor play.
